Hi! I’m Emily.

I am a passionate, self-taught home baker who grew up in the beautiful state of Victoria, Australia, surrounded by abundant fresh ingredients and a culture that genuinely cherishes good food. Cooking has been my lifelong passion. Growing up, my family affectionately called me “Little Baker Emily.” They often found me in the kitchen, fascinated by my mother and grandmother’s culinary creations. I cherished the moments spent watching them prepare meals with love and care, which sparked my own interest in cooking.

I fondly remember going through my mom’s weathered cookbooks, eagerly marking pages with recipes I couldn’t wait to try. My parents, recognizing my enthusiasm, would take me to local farmers’ markets to pick fresh ingredients for my latest culinary adventure.

One standout memory from my childhood involves my best friend and me surprising our families with a homemade cake. This experience solidified for me the enchanting power of baking and its ability to unite people through shared moments of delight and connection.

  • My educational background is in environmental science, and I spent several years working in conservation before deciding to focus on my family and my passion for baking.
